Andreasen Classification (Most Important for Exams)
A. Injuries to Hard Tissues and Pulp
- Enamel Infraction - Crack in enamel only
- Enamel Fracture - Loss of enamel substance
- Enamel-Dentin Fracture - Loss of enamel and dentin, no pulp exposure
- Enamel-Dentin-Pulp Fracture - Loss of enamel and dentin with pulp exposure
- Crown-Root Fracture - Fracture involving enamel, dentin, and cementum
- Root Fracture - Fracture involving dentin, cementum, and pulp
B. Injuries to Periodontal Tissues
- Concussion - Injury without displacement or mobility
- Subluxation - Injury with increased mobility but no displacement
- Extrusive Luxation - Partial displacement out of socket
- Lateral Luxation - Displacement in directions other than axial
- Intrusive Luxation - Displacement into alveolar bone
- Avulsion - Complete displacement from socket
