Pathophysiology

Key Clinical Features
- Heinz bodies: Characteristic finding (precipitated denatured hemoglobin)

- Neonatal jaundice: May be severe
Important Clinical Points
- Estrogen does NOT induce hemolysis (unlike other conditions)
